Cemex Australia Limited contracted WA Wheelwash to assist with the management of dieback (Phytophthora) as their Gosnells quarry is mapped within a dieback affected area.
WA Wheelwash have supplied a standard 8.0m wheelwash bath fitted with a fully automated spraydown system to wash down all dirt and debris from the trucks exiting the quarry on their approach to the weighbridge. We are also currently designing a recycling system to attach to the unit to clean and re-use the water in our spraydown system.
The challenge for this project is to work with those involved with fighting dieback to find a chemical which will kill the phytophthora fungus without affecting the quarry products and the vehicles using the wheelwash.
